Can I restore catalog not use Tape?

Hello experts

I'm using NBU 7.0, I've Catalog backup C:\Program files\veritas\Netbackup\db
If the Catalog contains only the directory C:\Program files\veritas\Netbackup\db then I just copy the folder that is able to implement DR site to be right? Does anyone know the information please help me. Thank you.

Hi,

Have a look at this document, the process is called recovery without import.

Backing up netbackup\db only will give you the images and policies, not the EMM database.

If your ONLY purpose is to restore at the DR site, you can use the Recover Without Import method.

With this method, you simply copy netbackup\db\images folder to DR site,
add Media host override entries on DR master under Host Properties -> Master -> General Server  so that backups done by SiteA media servers will be directed to SiteB media servers.
Generate a list of tapes at SiteA, write protect tapes, add them to the robot at SiteB and to a non-backup pool (in case SiteB also performs backups).
