My Master Server is Windows Server 2008 R2 SP2 Enterprise with NetBackup 7.6.0.1

Media Server is NetBackup Appliance 5220 with NetBackup 2.6.0.1

I can't find out what is the cause this problem. Could someone help me fix it?

Thank you

looks like netbackup is not resolving the name of NDMP filer

what is the output of below commands from Master server

bpcltncmd -hn <ndmp filername>

bpcltncmd -ip <ndmp filer IP>

'ndmp hostname does not exist'.

Can you 'ping' this hostname?

Have you added /etc/hosts entry on master and/or media server(s) for this ndmp host or added it to DNS?

If hosts or DNS entries were added recently (within the last hour), you need to refresh NBU host cache:

bpclntcmd -clear_host_cache

Try to run the following command and provide us the output -

<install path>\Veritas\Volmgr\bin\tpautoconf -probe myNDMPfiler

Also If it's Windows Netbackup Server make sure that the Windows firewall is disabled.

After I use command bpcltncmd -hn <ndmp filername> I see my Master Server mapping with unused IP group on filer. After change mapping hosts file on Master and Media Server to same as the other filers, It become to work. Now I can add NDMP Credentials and run job perfectly. Thank you very much for all advisor.
