NBU sends the eject Instruction to the tape library. If the robot has more than 1 CAP, the robot will choose which CAP to use. With ACSLS robot, it will be the CAP closest to tape home slot.
Maybe your robot documentation will have instructions on how to config a specific CAP as default.
Best to let the robot decide.

Yes.
You can move a tape from the CAP to slots when you run Inventory.
You can move a tape to the CAP with Eject utility in Media section of the GUI.

depending on your library - if you are having issues:

Some robots will not allow you to load a duplicate tape VOLSER  - found this out when I removed a tape stuck in a drive. The robot thought it was already inside, would not allow reload. I had to audit and run inventory, so it discovered it was not there, then I could load it.

Some robots will not allow you to load a tape upside down. It will read the barcode, but not load it.

I often wonder why users ask questions and then provide no feedback whatsover.

It's been 3 weeks since @praba_nbu posted here.....

Sorry about the delay in response. I was not online much from the start of December due to personal reasons.

Is there a way to eject a Tape to Specific CAP?
