I'm trying to retire a temporary media server we used to import some volumes from on NBU system. I expired the contents and deleted the volume from the master catalog but bpmedialist still shows the volume assigned. I ran vmdelete and bpexpdate but both say volume is not in database

Can you verify if this temporary media server is part of any storage unit? If yes then delete the stoarge unit.
Thanks

I deleted the Storage Unit associated with the media server and volume no longer displays in any reports. But, the volume still appears when I run bpmedialist on the temp. media server.

Is that going to cause a problem if I delete the media server?

Doug,
You may not have this particular problem, but I suggest reading this technote as it discusses the 3 db's and how they interact. Perhaps some of the commands will help you clear out the bpmedialist problem you are having with the media.
