Cannot log into GUI, status 526

Hi:

I've read about some log in errors in the NBU GUI (status 526):

My enviroment:

- Oracle Enterprise Linux 7.2

- Netbackup 7.6.1.2 (same problem with 7.6.1)

- Error:

Can not connect to the NB-Java authentication service on XXXXXX on port 1556.  Exception:
vrts.shared.server.CantConnectToAuthServViaVNETDException

- Work Arround: Stop NBU services, manually restart pbx, start NBU services.

- Expected Resolution: Problem presents every time the server is restarted.

Similar to problem posted:

unable to log into Netbackup GUI (Status 526)

But reinstall does not solve the problem, after reboot error persist.

Try the following possibilitis.

Check all services are running (bpps -x) on that server that you are connecting to - if in doubt do a netbackup start (in the bin/goodies directory) but if pbx_exchange itself is not running you may need to start that first (pbx_exchanged start)

If all services were running then check for firewalls (local and on the server) in case something is just blocking your communications

If you are running the console on a PC with UAC enabled then remember to right click and run as administrator.
