Hi,
I have the same issue as in this post: https://vox.veritas.com/t5/NetBackup/Cannot-log-into-GUI-status-526/m-p/774687
but in windows 7.
So i`ve installed NB java 7.6.1 then the patch to 7.6.1.2. and ports 1556 and 13724 are allowed in my local firewall.
This inst is made on a laptop, not on netbackup server directly.

I have the same issues on another laptop.
What is wrong here? I have installed also remote console and it works, also the nb client, and still java is not working.
Solved! Go to Solution.

I found out that Veritas provided my colleagues this EEB: eebinstaller.3865356.1.AMD64
After applying this patch it worked. Please if someone can link a page to this EEB for more details this would be great!
Fixed my issues.

https://vox.veritas.com/t5/NetBackup/Cannot-log-into-GUI-status-526/m-p/774687
was specific to master server on Linux 7.x.
The issue with Linux 7.x is described in TN http://www.veritas.com/docs/000106399
What is the OS on your master server?

what is the output of below command from the server/ laptop that you are tyring to open GUI
telnet bck-srv 1556
telnet bck-srv 13724
same command output from the master server as well..
are you tyring to use java console or admin console?

The server is a cluster: SunOS dc1-bck-srv 5.10 Generic_150400-35 sun4v sparc SUNW,Sun-Blade-T6320
My colleague has the same Java Version on his laptop and hi doesnt have any issues :)
This is very strange.

Hi,
Both ports are opened from my laptop to the master server, they open telnet window just fine.
From the Master server to us, it think ping port is closed, because I cannot ping or telnet my laptop or my colleagues laptop.(but my colleagues java work)
The Remote Administrator Console works fine, only if I have local admin right on my user.(which I have).
And the Java Administator Console does not work, it return the above erros and also see the attachment.

Hi,
I`ve already check them both before posting here, but they are unclear.
On this article: https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000108223
What HotFix, where is the link to it or?
And for the 1st link: https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000110294
On Windows: Compare the VNETD entry with the VNETD_PORT entry in the install_path\java\setconf.bat file
But ok so I have in setconf.bat on my laptop this, but in Windows to whom I compare it?
