Hi,

Has anyone encountered with the following error messages at /var/adm/messages or console ?

"Cannot start rdevmi process for remote shared drive operations on host media_server_name, cannot connect to vmd"

Make sure your patches are up to date and that DNS between the two servers are correct.

sean,

make sure you dont have this file on your server

/usr/openv/volmgr/VM_MQ_DEBUG

If /usr/openv/volmgr/VM_MQ_DEBUG has been touched, which turns on the ltid message queue logging, the following messages will be seen in the daemon log

this may not be the version you are running.

It sounds to me that the Debug is on.
