Catalog Backup keeps "mounting" indefinitely

Hi all,

I got a problem with this job. It can't run properly since few days. Even I stop and restart it, it stay blocked at "Mounting" step.

  • Type : Catalog Backup
  • State : Active
  • Operation : Mounting
  • Job Policy : NBU_Catalog
  • Active Elapsed : 24:20:53
  • Job details status last line : [...] info bpdbm (pid=13904) done staging NBDB backup to M:\Veritas\NetbackupDB\staging

I already restarted NBU services on Master Server. Didn't helped.

Any help will be welcome.

More info, please:

How many child jobs do you see for the parent Catalog backup?

Could you please show us all text in Details tab for each job? 

This extract from the Admin Guide describes what happens (or should happen) in each child job:

Please ensure that all of these log folders exist for troubleshooting:
On master: bpdbmbpbkar, bpcdbpbackupbprd
On media server  (if different from master):  bpbrm, bptm 
Please note that NBU must be restarted after bpdbm and bprd folders are created.

Try to perform online backup of NBDB using this command. If it fails, then you need to focus on fixing issues with NBDB.

mkdir /tmp/nbdbbackup

nbdb_backup -online /tmp/nbdbbackup
