Catalog Import

Hi All,

We have closed the backup site A and build New server in Site B and all clients migrated to Site B.  There are some long term tapes in Site A. So I want to import them into Site B. Site A Catalog has been copied to tape and I want import them into Site B. How can I import the catalog without overwriting the Site B's catalog. Please advise.

Site A:

Master Server : Solaris 10 , 7.5 V

Catalog size : 125 GB

Site B:

Master Server : Windows 2012 R2

NBU Catalog can not be 'imported' or recovered to a new master server with a different name.

You can use one of two methods:

1. Perform phase 1 and 2 import of all tapes.

2. Use 'Recovery without Import' method as explained in this TN: http://www.veritas.com/docs/000026322 
Use 'Download attachements' to access the pdf doc. 
Pay attention to sections for NBU 7.5 - this applies to 7.5 and later.
