Catalog backup causes error (Disk storage server is down(2106))

Hi all,

Here is my issue:

I had a Solaris 10 server running Netbackup 6.5.5.  catalog backups were performed to a local (basic Disk) volume pool on the master server (local/cat-backup)

I never had any issues with this setup unti now, I just upgraded the system to Netbackup 7.5.0.3. now I can't do catalog backups to this volume pool, I get this error

Disk storage server is down(2106)

I checked the disk and is fine, I deleted the storage and recreated but still can't backup to this location.

any ideas?

Thanks

There is no username / passwd shown.

I think it should show ;

User Name  root

Pass Word xxxx

Go into the Catalog backup policy > DR tab and enter the username / passwd.

Not sure how this could cause the error you have, but then, NetBackup does throw the odd curved ball occasssionally.

Do you have more than one STU configured on /local?

Your mount point is /local and STU location is /local/cat-backup.
DSU should be a dedicated lun.

Please show us output of :
nbdevquery -listdp -stype BasicDisk -U
nbdevquery -liststs -U
nbdevquery -listconfig -U
