Catalogue restore - over write existing?

I usually restore the catalogue to an empty master server.  

Can I assume that you can over write an existing catalogue with Netbackup Recovery Wizard.    I'm looking at doing a full  recovery.

If you want to recover catalog because of database corruption, then best to recreate nbdb as per this extract from the Troubleshooting Guide:

Image and config files will be overwritten.

I believe you are performing catalog restore in case of a disaster. If you are doing it for testing purpose, then do not test it on the production server.

for your question, Yes you can perform an override of the NetBackup catalog and as it states override, it will override the current state of the catalog database.
