Change Volume Pool To Scratch

I had a couple bad attempts for a catalog backup that took up 4 tapes this week.  I would like to take those tapes and put them back into scratch instead of them showing up in Weekly OnSite/OffSite.  When I choose any of the menus keys it gives me an error.  I have even tried taking the tapes out and putting them back in but no luck.

Any ideas.

Once a tape is used for catalog they are 'tagged' as catalog tapes and have to be treated differently..

you need to expire and relabel the tape.

Hot Catalog backups? In a pool other than CatalogBackup, i.e. Weekly OnSite/OffSite?

Please post output of this command for one of the tapes:

nbemmcmd -listmedia -mediaid <media-id>

Media errors coud cause the media to be Frozen.

We need to see there are valid images associated with the media-id and what the Status is (Frozen?).

Only when 'Assign Time' is blank can media be returned to Scratch.
