Hi,
Can someone let me know the command to change the backup date of an exisiting backup. If this can be done ?
I have backed up some old data (end of year backup 2009) and want change the date so it reflects the original date of the data. This means anyone searching the catalog can search by date and find this backup.
Thanks,

you can not chage the backup date ...
you just need to document it some where about the backups also just need to look in the catalogs with broad date range..

you can change expiration of backup images or tapes using bpexpdate command. But be careful - its not a forgiving command. So test the usage out in a test lap before using in production.
For querying the catalog - bpimagelist is your friend

Can you please clarify the "and want change the date so it reflects the original date of the data".
