Change the VM backup policy from Silver to Gold, backup error code: 52

Hi all,

I had this situation that if I change the VMware backup policy to gold for some clients, full backup fails with error 52, but no issue for differential backup. If I change these VM clients to silver, it is normal. Does anyone have an explanation for this? The attachment is bptm log.

Does the SLP in the policy have a matching Gold STU? A backup with a gold classification must go to a storage unit with a gold data classification.

Please show us all text in Details tab of failed job. The bptm log does not contain any record of status 52 or any other error.

Thanks for your help. We don't configure SLP, just back up data to tapes directyly. I uploaded related bpbrm, bptm and trylogs.

Data classification in a policy only has a function when there is a matching SLP. What is the purpose of selecting data classification in your environment?
