Hi ,

The issue is as below...

Netbackup version 7.5.2

Jobs are scheduled on daily basis.

only parent job is getting triggered and no child job.

Please suggest which things I suppose to check.

Please post  more about your environment like;

  • policy settings(bppllist <policy_name> -U)
  • status code and detail progress(job detail tab) of parent job
  • client name
  • batch file

Create dbclient log folder on the client.

After next failure, copy log file in dbclient folder to dbclient.txt and post here as File attachment.

I have log file but I can not take any content from VM to base machine it is unauthorised.

pbxconnectx succeeded

error starts from here...

CDBbackrec error

operation of batch D:\***.bch failed. Elapsed time:381sec

Operation failed.

What I should check for this ? .bch file (it is default and as far as I know settings are correct)

Anything in regedit ? ( how to check hostname in regedit ?)

Do you want me to check eventlog ?

If you cannot post logs here that you have edited (e.g. replace hostnames with 'master', 'client1', 'media1' and different IPs such as 192.168.10.1, etc) you will have to log a call with Symantec Support.

I will need to see full log to get an idea of where process is failing.

As a matter of interest - can you run the batch file while logged on to the SQL client?
Does it generate Default Application (child) jobs on the master?
If so, check NBU Client Service logon account.
Best to start it with same account that is starting SQL services.
