Client HKGWS14102 is requesting backup data taken on hkg-dag1.asiapac.nom, so you have to allow alternative client restore to HKGWS14102. Try to configure altnames following instructions in Admin Guide page 884. NetBackup 7.1 Administrator's Guide for Windows, Volume I  http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC3653

Have you set up the distributed application section under the Master Servers Host Properties - this is needed for you DAG operations

How do i do that. If any changs need to be made on the master or media servers will have to ask the Storage Admins to do that.

Via the netBackup Admin Console go to Host Properties - Master Servers

Connect to the Master Server and you will see half way down on the left a section named "Distributed Application Restore Mapping"

This is required to allow the redirection of restores for a DAG

You need to add the DAG name against each mailbox name (so in your failing case hkg-dag1.asiapac.nom  on the left side maps to HKGWS14102 on the right

All mailbox servers need adding in as well as CAS servers

If you use a proxy host for GRT restores you also need to add you Media Servers (proxy hosts) in here as well.

The the Exchange Admin Guide for full details

Hope this helps
