Connection refuse and Invalid error number

Hi All,

After upgrading our Netbackup 4.5 to 5.0, we installed additional windows client. During the installation we encountered no problem. We created a policy for this client. During the backup the client encountered an error "connection refused".

At the Netbackup Management > Host Properties > Client, We tried to load the properties of the newly installed client but we encountered : "Invalid error number".

hostname were already loaded in etc\hosts file.
The client and server can ping both ways.

Any suggestions

Check whether the client and the servers both's etc\hosts are updated.
TRy a telnet from client to server and vice-versa on any netbackup port.

please check your connection to server from your NBU client..using /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpclntcmd -pn

did you change the hostname???

The problem has been fixed after the reinstallation of the nbu client.
