Folks,

Can someone explain how and show the syntax for setting up a policy to backup files and directories to disk using NB 6.0 version MP7S01.   When I execute the job I created it completes and it appears only the directory path is the only item getting backed up.   Total bytes always show 32 and 1 file.   !!!!!!!!!!Help!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, dbeck

Please share more information about the file list in your policy.
Also verify mount points on the client - is it an NFS mount?
Are all sub-directories different mount points?

Run /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpmount on the client.

By default, NBU does not cross mount points or NFS mounts. These are options in Attributes section of the policy config that must be explicitely selected.

Marianne,

Checking the box Follow NFS in the Attributes section solved the problem.   Thanks for the tips.  I've been away from the Netbackup application for 8 months and how soon you forget things.  Thanks again.
