DD Boost migration on NBU with DD

Hi there,

I have a NBU 7.5.0.3 setup with one master and four media servers (all 2008).

We have a pair of DD boxes in different locations and have been backing up to them as traditional STUs.

Over the last week we have setup DD Boost and got it all configured and working but I'm about to migrate all my policies over to the new DD Boost STUs.

The question is:

Will the DD unit dedupe across the Boost and non-Boost data sets or will it double my usage in the DD units?

I can't seem to find any definitive answer from EMC so any help you can give would be great.

yes the DD units willl dedupe across the boost and non-boost data sets. initially file system might be under heavy load but once it builds up primary data set or FULL backup it will be back to normal.
