DOWNLOAD PACKAGE FOR RED HAT LINUX 5.3

Which package to download for RED HAT LINUX 5.3 . NetBackup_7.6.0.1_CLIENTS1.tar.gz and NetBackup_7.6.0.1_CLIENTS2.tar.gz . It worked fine with solaris but while installing on redhat it shows error that it does not contain client package

Is the Red Hat server 32bit ?

Do a uname -a 

Linux ural.bck.nnit.com 2.6.18-308.24.1.el5 #1 SMP Wed Nov 21 11:42:14 EST 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

If uname -a does not return X86_64 its a 32bit kernel and not supported on NBU 7.6.

As per NetBackup_7.6.0.1_Download_README.txt on FileConnect, 

NetBackup Unix Clients 2 
  Linuxes
 NetBackup_7.6.0.1_CLIENTS2.tar.gz

As per Nicolai's excellent post, no 32-bit clients are supported as from NBU 7.0.

The Unix Clients 2 (NetBackup_7.6.0.1_CLIENTS2.tar.gz ) download media should work.

Have you tried it yet? If so, please post the output as well as installation log.

Apologies for the delay , issue got resolved by downloading the package once again. Thanks for the help
