Can this same method be used on a NBU env at 6.5.4?

before EMM you were able to rename master server without big issues, but now it's a chargeable procedure, being performed exclusively by Symantec Consulting or some authorized consultants.

The question was if 'Recovery without Import' can still be done in 6.x. This process does not require server name change, merely copying of images to new server and adding FORCE_RESTORE... entry.
As far as I know it can be done.

I'm basically under impression of failed DR test couple of days ago :)
recovery without import is possible, you're right...

I use it on my current version ( did not go to 6.5.4 because one of the known issues was bad for me)  I completely expect it to work just fine in 6.5.5.
