This looks like the db/media/errors file. This logs all media errors - so drive and tapes issues and is a great place to look when you have Tape or Drive issues.

First few show that Drive005 and Drive002 had an OPEN_ERROR - on 2 different tapes. This could be a problem with the tapes or the drives at the time.

The other messages show Drive001, 2, 5, 7 had a reservation issue. Something else was using the drive at the time most likely.

When you have these issues, refer to your system / event logs too.

The errors db is where all info for All Log Entries and many other reports is stored. See this DB as the 'event log' for NBU. As you can see, the db contains unformatted entries. Use Reports in the GUI to extract info or bperror from cmd. Reports that draw from this db are: All log entries Backup status Problem report Media logs Read up about Reports in Admin Guide 1. PS: Seems you are getting confused about what you saw where. The path in your post is for NBU error db. The contents of the file is from ...netbackup\db\media\error. This file is where device errors are logged and can be used to assist with troubleshooting. Here you can see if issues are with particular media id or particular tape drive.
