Decommission Old media server

Hello,

How can I decommission old media server for disk based backup images, I see lot of articles for tapes to move the db, Is there any method for disk based backup images 

 

Also I will be building up new linux media server and decomm old solaris media server

 

Please let me know the method

nbdecommission will move image ownership and remove entries for old media server from EMM database.

Nbdecommission is for disk and tape. You may want to concentrate your search criteria on that. I unfortunately do not have access to documentation right now. Question: what are your plans with existing DSUs? Will you mount the disk on the new media servers or expire current disk images and start fresh on new media servers?

HI Mariannes,

Thanks for the quick response, I will be mounting the same disk with new media server

 

I can use the media host overide entries,But not sure if it will cleanup the images which be expiring in furute used by old media server
