Deduplication for EMC based clone of Exchange

Hi,

We have a customer who's running EMC based clone for their exchnage server once a day. Later they B2D this clone using media server based dedup, Dedup ration seems to be very low. Does anyone know if clone is rhe reason for this behavior?
