Hi,
I am new to netbackup and want to clear some doubts regarding media server and EMM.
and what is difference between relational database and emm database?
Kindly provide an explanation.

EMM and master server is the same.
Master server can be just that: Master/EMM server, but can also be configured as a Media server.
Media servers can be configured on separate server(s) where devices are attached.
Media servers have no databases.
All config for media servers exist in EMM database on the master server.
See Figure 1 on p.6 of 'Getting Started' Guide.

The Master server is also the EMM server. It can be a different server, but in all my years working with NBU, I have never seen anyone installing EMM on a separate server.

No. EMM database contains tables of database information.
Media server is a server that performs a backup to tape or disk.
Of course the EMM server may also be acting as a Media server too (if configured).
