Hello friends
I have a cluster that has shared several department units, each has a separate IP.
172.23.131.18 -> \ \ iges1dat14 \ data14
172.23.131.19 -> \ \ iges1dat15 \ data15
172.23.131.20 -> \ \ iges1dat16 \ data16
172.23.131.21 -> \ \ iges1dat17 \ data17
The problem is that the "differential incremetnal" daily copies, have the same size as the full.
What will happen?
Thank you

Please tell us how your policies are configured?
Separate policies for each of the virtual names?
E.g. one policy for iges1dat14 to backup data14 with Incremental and Full schedules in the same policy?
Has Full backup been successful for this policy before Incremental (in same policy) was run?
Are Incrementals backups based on Archive Bit (default) or Modified timestamp? (Configured in Host Properties for Client.)

One Policy, for each virtual name
E.g. one policy for iges1dat14 to backup data14 with Incremental and Full schedules in the same policy?

Has Full backup been successful for this policy before Incremental (in same policy) was run?
Yes, all fulls was ok

Differential incremental backup (default)
Thanks

According to what you have shown the Full backup is sysnthetic
That needs a "real" full backup to have run before it will work so not sure when you say a full has run where that came from
I would not expect a synthetic full to work without a real full backup and without that diffs will run as fulls

Hi Mark
This is the secuence.
The first full backup was normal, then I did the differential backup, but were like the full size. And the synthetic has been after, that was done correctly.
The problem is that differential is = full, before sythetic backup and after
Thanks

Set up bpbkar logging on the client and increase logging so that we can see what it says during the backup next time it runs
#edit# bpbrm logging on the Media Sever too
