Hi,

Is there’s a way to disable the unified logging of NBU? I’m using NBU 6.5 running on windows 2003.

Thanks,

Its a great guide to all the ID's for logging.

The RolloverMode can also be set to None to disable log file rotation:

This will disable log file rotation. This will not turn off verbose logging and log files will continue to grow until they consume all space on the file system. To disable verbose logging reference TechNote 278572 in the Related Documents section below.
# cd /usr/openv/netbackup/bin
# ./vxlogcfg -a -p 51216 -o Default -s RolloverMode=None

After setting these options, run vxlogcfg -p 51216 -o Default -l to verify the change is in place. It is not necessary to restart any processes for changes to Unified Logging to take effect.

You can disable Unified loggin but not all logs,

Normally unified logs contains 3 type of logs.

Application log messages: cannot be disabled
Diagnostic log messages: can be disable using vxlogcfg
Debug log messages: can be disabled using vxlogcfg

i would recommend you to change the logging location.
Check this command.

On Windows:
install_path\NetBackup\bin\vxlogcfg -a -p NB -o Default -s
LogDirectory=new_log_path
