Disable writing on a tape drive

Hi,

i need your help please,

is there any way to disable a writing on a tape drive ? and to let netbackup choosing this drive just for reading ??

we have an option to disable it by tpconfig command,but it will not use the Drive for both read and write..

are you looking to use drive only for reading like restores and duplications

if yes..and that requirement is not for specific drive and it can be any one the avaliable drives

1) make sure you have only one drive (media manager) storage unit for specific robot in the Media server

2) set number of concurent Drives as n-1( if you have 10 drives configured , set it as 9) so at any point of time netbackup use 9 drive for write operations and leftover one can be used for read
