Apologies for the delayed response...

Seems this 7.0.1/7.1 TN is still valid that says emm.conf must be created:

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH178102

“Note that the emm.conf file must be created if it does not exist”

Google Translate:

hello,

from the disk storage unit for a while I am getting the following message.

************* * NULL * nbemm PureDisk Storage Server: serer01 was marked up ************

  but the discs are already up!  How can I stop this message?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This means that the server was probably marked down earlier on.
EMM sends 'heartbeats' to Media/Storage servers at regular intervals (5 minutes).
If the heartbeat/handshake does not complete successfully, the server will be marked down.
This interval can be changed, but it is better to troubleshoot and resolve comms problems.
See: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH70827
Hello Marianne,
By the way, I could not find emm.conf file in the /usr/openv/var/global ,this is nbu 7.6.0.1 does is matter ?
for this,
Create a new emm.conf entry:
NUM_DA_GRACE_PERIOD = 600
On Unix: /usr/openv/var/global/emm.conf
On Windows: <install_path>\VERITAS\NetBackup\var\global\emm.conf
Regards.
