Do Synthetic Full backups require the Advanced Client

I am currently running netbackup v7.0.1 with a master server on Windows Server 2003 SP2 and -3- media servers (2008R2 and -2- on server 2003).  I am looking into Synthetic Full backups and am assuming that the Advanced Client is needed for this but was unable to find any information to verfiy that.  Is the Advanced Client necessary to perform Synthetic Full Backups on 7.0.1?

Not at all.

Standard Client is sufficient.
