Does NBU 8.1 still use /tmp for temporary files for VM backups?

Hello,

I am building out a NB 8.1 environment, all linux master and media servers. Our standard build for Linux servers has /tmp at 1GB. I recall this being an issue on vm backup media servers, since NB uses /tmp (and you can't redirect it to use any other filesystem for this temporary space) to put vm backup-related files. Wondering if anyone know if version 8.1 has that same restriction.

Yes it still uses /tmp for all vm temp files, however now NetBackup as part of its normal cleanup process's will periodically clean up those files. 

As for the restrictions, i have not seen anything that allows you to redirect those files to a new location.
