Hello. (Still new to netbackup :( )
We run a full backup duplication\vault job at the end if each week\month which basically duplicates images from our VTL to physical tape on a ML6000 tape library.
Our monthly backup failed with the following error after nearly completing its backup (unable to allocate new media for backup, storage unit has none available(96). In the end this was down to exactly as it states, we just didn't have enough tapes in the library.
My questions are though.
Why does the backup fail and not hold until we add more tapes to the library in order for it to finish?
Also
When we re-ran the job manually it only backed up a small amount of data, kind of like it backed up the data it missed in the first backup. Could this be the case?
