Duplication jobs use one drive only

With reference to https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/duplication-isnt-using-all-tape-drives-available-0 , I have a similiar problem. Running NetBackup Enterprise 7.0.1 on Windows Server 2008. Duplication jobs which are part of a SLP, are NOT using all the tape drives on one of the media servers. There are 2 LTO5 drives on the server and the duplication jobs will use one or the other but not both at the same time. The other media server has 4 LTO4 drives and they are all used at the same time. Note: I don't want to reserve one of the drives for restores. Any help would be appreciated!

Found the solution: On the media server, ran nbrbutil -dump ....................................... MDS allocations in EMM: MdsAllocation: allocationKey=927940 jobType=16 mediaKey=4000487 mediaId=DW8287 ....................................... Noticed one allocationKey was distance from the others and the mediaId associated was not in use. Ran nbrbutil -releaseMDS Ran nbrbutil -dump Allocation is now gone and all drives are in use. Problem solved!

Check Storage Unit config - how many "Concurrent drives" are specified?
