it looks like read server does not have the access on the storage server...

make sure the duplication read server do have the access on the storage server that is having the backup images...

I thought that might be the case, the 2 node windows cluster which has the backup disks attached are also media servers, so what may have happened is the backups were performed when the disk was on node A and it's failed over the node B. When it's doing the duplication it might be looking for the disks on node A.

mmmm - is this an application cluster or a clustered media server?

Clustered media servers not supported at 7.5.x - much discussion about disk sharing.

It's a fileshare cluster,  So I've got 2 node cluster, which are both media servers. It doesn't recognise that the staging disks have moved nodes I think.

I've been through this with Marie-anne before and syamntec support a few times, support tell me it won't work. Not for this particular error message though. I've never seen this error message before. Thought it was worth a post as the error message was totally different and it may have been something else.

it could be something else too... but at this point we can not say that..

we need to see all the configuration and errors related to this before confirming this..

OK - you know what i meant then if you have discussed with Marianne!

So I guess we need to see your SLP output to see how that is configured, and also that each node has access to the other node - just under credentials - storage servers - ensure that each of the two storage servers has the other ones listed as valid to give it a chance of working

You may need to put them both into a group and allow everything to work via the group in order to allow it to work - that way it can read from the one and write to the other

Does that make sense?

Vince, you won't believe this. Your issue with Advanced Disk and app_cluster on Windows media servers are still bugging me. So much so that I have discussed it with a Product Manager at Vision.

No promises, but will send him all the details next week.

As long as we cannot config these Advanced Disks as single STU in app_cluster, your problems will never go away.....

Hi Marianne,

Thanks for that! I hope you'll find an answer! I won't hold my breath though.
