Hello

I have problem with backup of NAS. The NAS is connected directly to a tapedrive, that is under control of Netbackup 7.
If I type nbemmcmd -listhost -verbose, I see the host.

When I start the job, the job fail with status 2006, EMM status: NDMP credentials are not defined in EMM

Please cancel...!! I was able to resolve this problem. It was actually a error in the host name. The correct host name should be fs00L, not Fs03L as I was told.

Sorry for taking you time....

In order to better understand the issue, I think we need some more details on your setup.

Have you also configured the tape definition for the filer? Do you have a storage unit using the filer?

Does the policy use the correct storage unit?

This problem can occur when the wrong media server tries to log on to the filer with the NDMP credentials. Do you use global credentials or per server?

A filer is just another name for a NAS server.

So we would need to understand what the NDMP storage unit is configured as.

Please provide the output from following commands;

vmoprcmd

nbemmcmd -listhosts -verbose

bpstulist -U

bppllist Nas_Fs03L -U

tpconfig -dnh -all_hosts

Please cancel...!! I was able to resolve this problem. It was actually a error in the host name. The correct host name should be fs00L, not Fs03L as I was told.

Sorry for taking you time....
