EMMDB is not starting at system startup

Hi All,

 

I am using netbackup 6.5 on HP-UX server. 

Recently i am facing some issue with netbackup, EMMDB is not starting at the system reboot and bp.start_all . every system start i am manually starting emmdb.

Any one can help on fixing the issue.

Can we assume that you mean nbemm? or NB_dbsrv?

Do you perhaps have output of bp.start_all to see if processes start and 'die' again?

Have you tried to view emm logs with vxlogview?

View logs for last couple of minutes after startup with something like:

vxlogview -o 111 -A -t 00:05:00

Hopefully your NBU patch level is at 6.5.2 or later. In that case, you can follow steps in this TN to health check your emm database:

-Check if also PBX fails to start

-If not then on windows /netbackup/bin use nbdb_admin command to set the database to start automatically , you will get switch to use over there
