EV Index error 41

I have NetBackup 8.1.2 with 5230s.  I have just upgraded Enterprise Vault from 12.1.1 to 12.5.1 on the 2 EV servers.  I use NetBackup directives to traget Indexes and Vault Stores.  VS back up fon on both servers.  

Since the upgrade of EV, one of the indexes fails to back up with error 41, network connection timeout.  The other server works fine, both use the same policy as it targets the indexes at the site level in EV.

Anyone seen this?

Pity you did not check compatibility lists before you upgraded EV... 

Seems only up to 12.4 is supported:

All I can suggest is that you log Support calls with NBU and EV teams to check what is the way forward. 

Chances are that NetBackup will only add support in 8.2 or 8.3. Maybe you could start with upgrade plans (8.3 has not yet been released).

Did you try to back them up using the generic backup method, i.e. not touching the EV agent as @Marianne said has a likely compatibility issue? The error 41 looks a bit too generic and might have been caused by some other issues.
