Effect on Netbackup operations after removing VTL based Licence.

Hi ,

          We are using Netbackup 6.5 with VTL1140 Tape Library.

During initial Installation we have added following Licensees on Netbackup Master server using get_licence_key utility:

VERITAS NETBACKUP OPTION VIRTUAL TAPE 6.5 CROSS PLATFORM 1 TBYTE.

Currently we are doing exercise of removing unwanted licenses.

I deleted few licenses from above category but still i am able to take backup on VTL.

Can anybody know if I remove above license from Master server? What will be its long time effect on operations? Pls provide any related information in this regard.

I believe you would need to remove all licenses enabling VTL as well as restarting the NBU services before the license change actually takes effect.
