Enterprise vault from version 9.0.2 to version 11

We are planning to our Enterprise vault from version 9.0.2 to version 11, we will be doing this in stages so we will first be moving to version 10.  Looking at the compatibility it appears that we will need to upgrade to NBU 7.6.0.4 we do not want to do this too early as we do not want incompatibility, at the moment we are able to restore although it is not listed as compatible.

We need to know if upgrading whilst we are still on EV version 9.0 will create any issue’s for our restores.  can someone please advice how to approach the upgrade process.

Thank you in advance.

The compatibility charts are specifically in play when using the NBU Agent for EV. If you configure your backup routines/schedules/scripts manually rather than using the agent, then the EV version and the NBU version no longer have dependency on one another; from NBU's perspective, it is just another file system backup and just another SQL backup (you do need to ensure that you have version compatibility between NBU and SQL though). So my recommendation would be to reconfigure the backups, suspend use of the Agent, and once both EV and NBU are on their final target versions, return to use of the Agent.
