Dear Team

i am trying to install enterprise victual client and i have 2 licenses, one for 6 CPUs (3 Hyper-V hosts with 2 CPU sockets each) and one license for the drive of the tape library.

I have configured backup server and media server on a seperate physical machine and when I tryng to configure a policy to take backup of the VMs i take the following error:

(2063) Server is not licensed for the Remote Client Option

Do you know if specific setup is nedded for this version of netbackup (Enterprise Virtual Client)?

Thanks and Regards

George

Hello,

it should work because Remote client feature is a part of EVC. Which version do you have? - you should have at least 8.0 NBU version for EVC license to be interpreted correctly.

Apologies, this is how I interpreted your opening post:

I have configured
(1) backup server and
(2) media server on a seperate physical machine

Best to log a call with Veritas Customer Care (customercare@veritas.com) about the licensing features of NEVC as this license should include all of the following:

  • 1x Enterprise Server WLS Tier 4 license
  • 1x Enterprise Client WLS Tier 4 license
  • 1x Data Protection Optimization Option (DPOO) license
  • 1x Application/DB Agent WLS Tier 4 license

Enterprise Server is what enables 'remote client'.
