Error 13 when backing up Shadow Copy Components

NBU 6.5.6 Master Server Solaris 10
NBU Client 6.5.6 Windows 2008 R2 Domain Controller

Status = file read failed.

I upgraded my servers and clients to version 6.5.6 thinking this would fix this issue.  I have seen some other posts about error 13 but have not found a fix.  Please help!

Although technically this is a client issue ("file read error"), this can also be a NetBackup configuration issue.  If the client is Windows 2008, tell NetBackup to use VSS instead of VSP. 

e.g., on your master:  # bpclient -client <clientname> -add -WOFB_enabled 0 -WOFB_FIM 1

Make also sure that you installed x64 packages if your client is 64 bits.

and check to see which writers you are using
"vssadmin list writers"
it may be trying to use other writers instead of the microsoft vss writer, which will cause these sort of problems as well
