Error Code 13

Hello Experts,

We have some VM those backups are running via VMhost and nbu client is not installed on these VMs. We are experiencing issue of error 13 in which some data is wrriten and after that backup fails with 13 error.

Pls help.

Hi All,

These are windows 2008 servers with Master 7.6 and media server solaris 11.

These machines have 11, 13 and 156 errors are comman.And after writing some backups these clients get failed.

Please post bpfis logs from the Backup host.

It seems that the backup failed in less than one minute without any data being transferred:

Which server is used as Backup Host for VM backup?

Logs needed:

Media server: bpbrm and bptm

Backup host:  bpbkar

Please copy logs to .txt files (e.g. bpbrm.txt) and upload as File attachments.

Hi Marianne,

Pls let me know the verbose mode level for Backup Host and Media server for the logs you are looking for?

Level 0 logs are fine for 99% of issues.

If we cannot pinpoint the issue with level 0 logs, we will ask you to increase logging level and to open a Support call with Symantec.

Symantec Support engineers have the time and the tools to sift through large level 5 logs.

We have not been experiencing issue of 11 and 13 errors since last two weeks.

I dont the what the solution is from the below 2.

1:- Changed the policy timings so that client dont clash with each other.

2:- Hot add and nbdssl transpot method have been excluded.
