Did you run the installation as user root ?
If yes check permission for /tmp.
Others related to solaris: Be sure installing the client for right platform (sparc/amd64).
Never use Solaris tar to unpack the clientspackages.

Please start from the beginning and tell us which installation download package you have used.
Have you checked and confirmed size and checksum?
How and where did you unpack the downloaded client package?
It may be worth it to use gtar (although this TN mentions up to NBU 7.5):

Are you using root to extract and install?

Hello,
-Check the compatibility of the NBU 7.6.1
-Make sure that packages downloaded for correct OS and CPU architecture
-If the package moved from windows server to Unix then convert it using below command.
-dos2unix NBU_server_7.6.1_pkg NBU_server_7.6.1_pkg
Refer: https://kb.iu.edu/d/acux
-Give full permission to Parent and sub folder
-Chmod –R 777 <Package folder>
-Make sure that enough free space in /tmp /usr and /opt
-Perform the installation locally by using root user. The push method also causes the problem
