Error/Status code 13 on VMware clients

Just posting this in case anyone has this issue...

Been working on an open case with sporadic error code 13 on several vmware clients. Went through that "in depth troubleshooting status code 13" doc (yes...including checking all NIC cards). Turns out it was caused by mismatched versions of VMware and VMware tools.

See link: (why why the symantec tech didn't forward this before going through a NB reinstall, sending a plethora of logs, and running some utilities that I had to FTP from Symantec...but thats another story)...

To clarify, the Vmware ESX Host was at v3.02 and the running VM guest OS had the Vmware Tools build for ESX 3.5 installed inside?
