Error in login

DanielBri

I'm trying to login to NetBackup Administration Console version 7.7.2 on but I'm receiving error below

"Unable to login, status 534

An exception occurred in NB-Java.

Please try again."

NetBackup is installed on Windows Server 2012 R2 and fully updated.

I've installed the administration console on a different computer but I receive the same error when trying to connect.

I found the issue, it was missing a license, so we cannot login to console.

I corrected it following this link: https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.TECH37204

Thank you.

Is this a new install or upgrade?  Have you ever been able to login?

Did you try and provision a new security certificate for the master?

<install path>\netbackup\bin\admincmd\bpnbaz -ProvisionCert <master>

Also, check the nbjlogs on the host you are running the GUI from to see if there are any more detailed errors:

<install path>\netbackup\logs\nbjlogs

Hi Tyler,

I was using this for 2 months with no issues. It's a new installation.

I will try to generate a new certificate but I'm sending the log file content below:

    Time Taken: 25424ms
Error Msg: An exception occurred in NB-Java. Please try again.

That's a long time taken for it to have not really done anything.  The logs should have had a lot more information on it trying to connect to the master.  I'm leaning more towards it being some authentication issue.  But for sake of checking everything, are you seeing any error message in Event Viewer for the Java GUI?

Regards,

Tyler

So... what made you suspect or figure out that this was a licensing issue?
