yes Marianne, because my post was not approved for a long time, so I try re-post by another forum account.

@Riaan: Datastores on SAN

@SymGuy:

Does the backup work with NBD transport?

--> backup job working fine with NBD

Does the backup work with quiesce disabled?

--> No, it does not.

What version of vspehere r u running?

--> ESXi version 5.5

Backup job had working fine with SAN mode before

Please advise

more info:

This VM have 5 datastores are 5 different LUNs on SAN

I try to map these 5 LUNs to a windows physical machine (automount = disable)

[MB1-ARCHIVE] mark as blue border, the others are black

See if this TN helps:

I notice that you had a similar issue earlier this year:

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/vmware-backups-failing-status-code-623-0

What happened to that one?

Hi Marianne,

At that previous issue, san backup was not working fine with exactly 2TB VMDK size.
Follow Symantec support, I modify VMDK 2TB to different size and then It is OK.

At this issue, I had opened 3 SRs with Symantec support, VMware support and SAN vendor. But we still not solve this problem. Symantec support tell me that we should migrate all 5 datastores to 1 datastore for testing, but if we do that, the system run so slow.

Thank you.
Tuan.
