Dear All,

I have a failed backup with status 6. When I check the logs from bphdb:

You have new mail.

BR0054I BRBACKUP terminated with errors

It said backint: not found

Then I check it: there's no backint file in /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run, but there's one in /usr/openv/netbackup/bin

Please help how to solve this problem or recover the backint file here? Can I just copy backint file from other system? Thank you

The configuration steps (including the sym-link) is clearly documented in this manual.

...or backint does exist but isnt in your path. I've seen this too, typically post SAP upgrade.

I have created a new link between  /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run/backint and /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/backint

The correct parameters are listed in the error output:

BR0278I Command output of '/usr/sap/PPD/SYS/exe/run/backint -u PPD -f backup -i /oracle/PPD/sapbackup/.benqbepk.lst -t file_online -c':

ERROR: incorrect parameter options

About NetBackup for SAP sample backup scripts

NetBackup for SAP installs sample scripts in the following location:
/usr/openv/netbackup/ext/db_ext/sap/samples/sap_oracle
You can use some of the sample scripts as they are, or with a little modification,
you can use them to perform snapshot backups.
