Is the netbackup client, legacy client and legacy netwrok services set to an accoun tthat has local domain rights and exchange admin right  on exchange server and the CAS server ?

The 3 services on both mail servers and 3 CAS log on to the service account with organization wide domain admin and Exchange admin rights.

Backup service account has AD priviliges -
Domain Admin, Administrators, Domain Users, verified send/receive to active mailbox, name is unique in organization.
Backup service account granted these roles in Exchange -
Organization Admin, Recipient Admin, Public Folder Admin
Our Exchange admin enabled and assigned EWSImpersonation role to service account

Hi

I'm not sure what the official stance is on this but I was having the same problem with our Exchange 2010 DAG for Public Folder items.  I read somewhere that Public Folders cannot be GRT'd so I added the Public Folder databases into a seperate non-GRT policy and back them up in a standard MS-Exchange-Server policy successfully.

Apologies that I can't quote the source but if I find it again I shall post the details.

Just found this post which states "MAPI mailbox and public folder backups are not supported with Exchange 2010"

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/netbackup-and-exchange-2010

Perhaps this also relates to Exchange 2007?
