Thanks for the answer, but I noticed that the entry in the registry EXCHANGE_MAILBOX is missing.  The service account is created and is receiveing and sending e-mail without problems.  Should I add that entry in the Exchange Server?  If yes, how should be done?

which I am not, but this technote
http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/245184.htm
describes How to configure NetBackup for Mailbox backups of an Exchange 2000/2003 server

From the Registry Editor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Veritas\Netbackup\CurrentVersion\Config. Create a new string value EXCHANGE_MAILBOX (Figure 4). The data value for the new string will be the display name of the mailbox created in step 1.
