Hi all,
I'm using NetBackup7.5 for the first time, I'm configuring backup policies.
I saw the exclusion list is global, client-based.
I need to do it job-based, really isn't there a way to do it?
I mean, the idea is to create 2 policies for the same set of clients, one policy will backup everything excluding *.pst files, the other will backup just *.pst files, with different schedulations.
I cannot do this using client exclusion list.
Any idea? thanks

Yes - You can link an exclude list to a policy.
Instead of <All Policies>, you can specify a policy name and add *.pst.

Marianne is right. See the abow technote to read more about exclude lists.

Thanks both for the quick reply, but unfortunately I cannot select my policy there, the only option the application gives me is "All policies" nothing else...
Strange, because I have 4 policies already in place already configured

I don't believe
I have to write the policy name in the dropdown box instead of selecting it... In Symantec they have changed the way the dropdown box works... not very professional
So I suppose I found the answer to my question, I'm going to test it and see the result.
Thank you very much
regards
